About Renee Middlemost:

I am a Lecturer in Global Communication and Media at the University of Wollongong, Australia, where I joined the School of the Arts, English, and Media in 2017.  I am currently teaching first year core subject Introduction to Communication and Media;  Transnational Media and Culture Industries; and Australian Content, Global Context. I am on the editorial board of Participations: International Journal of Audience Research; and the Fan Studies Network Australasia. My research interests include: cult film, fans, celebrity, film, television, and popular culture, with a central focus on audiences, and how they engage with, and create media products.
